Most cigar blends put Sumatra tobacco only on the wrapper. Litto Gomez built the Colorado Oscuro around Sumatra leaf on both the wrapper and the binder, an unusual choice that gives the blend a distinctive floral character most full bodied cigars don't have room for. It is released only a couple times a year in limited batches, using whatever selected tobacco is available at the time.
The wrapper is an oily Ecuadorian Sumatra Ligero leaf over a Dominican Sumatra binder, with long-leaf filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Full in body. Made at Tabacalera La Flor in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

La Flor Dominicana was founded in 1996 in Santiago and made a decision the following year that defined the brand's identity: they purchased their own farm in La Canela in the Dominican Republic and began growing, aging, and processing their own tobacco. That vertical integration is what makes the Ligero Cabinet Oscuro line meaningful. The binder and filler are estate-grown Dominican ligero leaf from La Canela, harvested from the top primings of the plant where the leaf receives the most sunlight and develops the most intensity. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Sumatra that has been treated to naturally darken and sweeten it, resulting in the Oscuro designation. The Torpedito measures 4.75x50, making it the smallest and quickest expression in the Cabinet Oscuro lineup. Full in body. Made at La Flor Dominicana's factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
